Meet the Pack 214 Webmaster!

My name is Russ Strenk and I'm the Cubmaster of Pack 214, leader of Webelos Den 2, and the designer of this web site. That's me in the picture to the left.

I started my Scouting career in 1967 in my hometown of Huntington, New York. I was a member of Cub Scout Pack 67, based at Washington Elementary School. I progressed through Webelos and earned my Arrow of Light.

I moved on to Boy Scout Troop 188, also based in Huntington. We had an extremely active Troop! We hiked the Appalachian Trail, canoed the Delaware River, walked the Lincoln Trail in Washington D.C., and attended several regional jamborees.

Our family's move to California ended my Scouting career . . . until now. 25 years later I find myself as Cubmaster, leading my sons along the Scouting trail much as my father led me!

My hope is that my sons (and my daughter) enjoy the same wonderful experiences I enjoyed in my Scouting days!
